Academic Career

Ms Amali Uthpala Nandasiri completed her BA (Special) Degree in Mass Communication, with First class Division in 2013 for her first degree. She completed Post - graduate Studies, Master of Philosophy (M.phil) Degree University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. She won the 'Shelton Gunarathne' Scholarship for her Highest marks of BA (Special) Degree in Mass Communication Examination GPA 2012, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya in 2013. She selected to the Best Student of Print Media (Sinhala), The Diploma in Print & Electronic Media Journalism in Sri Lanka College of Journalism, Colombo in 2008. Her research interests include Public Relations, Cultural and traditional Communication, Literature and Language, Print Media and Broadcasting Media. At present, she works as a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

Conducted Research on 'A study on Communication meanings of Public Relations and      Management methods depicted in Sri Lankan Culture.   (Specifically in relation to customs and ethics in Sinhala Culture.) - Supervised by Senior Prof. Chandrasiri Rajapaksha -  M.phil   Dissertation. (2016).

Conducted Research on 'Communication Competencies of Traditional Sinhala Literature' Specifically 'Saddharma  Rathnawaliya and Buthsarana', Supervised by Prof. Chandrasiri Rajapaksha -  Dissertation. (2012).

Conducted a Survey on ‘Radio and The taste of the Listeners’ (Specifically in Senapura, Mahaelluppallama and Alu viharegama - In Anuradhapura District) - (2012).

Conducted Research on 'A study on utilizing modern media Technology for the Social Development and Management. (With special reference to using mobile phones in the Western Province -2014). Combined with Senior Lec. Saman Rajapaksha & Statistics Specialist Dharamdasa Paranagama.

Conducted Research on 'A Survey on Listening to Radio in Sri Lanka.' Conducted by Independent              Television Network  and 'Communication Research Unite (CRU)' in  the Department of  Mass             Communication, University of  Kelaniya. (2014).

Conducted a Survey on  'Media Usage in Western Province in Sri Lanka'  - Conducted by Press Council in Sri Lanka  and 'Communication Research Unite (CRU)' in  the Department of  Mass
