Profile Statement 
 
I’m, Mr. R.M.G. Karunarathne presently working as a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya. I have stared my career life as a probationary lecturer in 2010 attached to the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna and promoted as a Senior Lecturer in 2016 in the same institute. Subsequently, I joined with the University of Kelaniya at the end of 2018 as a senior lecturer to the Department of Philosophy. I completed my Master of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology in 2016 from the FGS, University of Colombo. I completed my first degree from the University of Peradeniya achieving a Hons. degree in psychology, and also completed M.S.Sc in Philosophy from University of Kelaniya in 2012. I was the coordinator for Personnel and Professional Development Stream (PPDS) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna from 2010 to 2014 and the coordinator for Diploma in Counselling at the Department of Philosophy, University of Kelaniya. Further, I’m disseminating my knowledge working as a visiting lecturer at the Nivahana Society in Kandy, and working as a volunteer clinical psychologist at the Faculty of Engineering in Kilinochchi, and Faculty of Law in Jaffna University. I am committed and self-motivated to work with the students and I enjoy working with and diverse individuals and groups.
