The academic book launch of ‘Yāpanaya: paścāth āpadā purāvidyāva, sāmudrika veḷaňdāma saha päraṇi nāgarīkaraṇaya’ by Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Prishanta Gunawardhana was held on 24th of February 2021 at the Boardroom of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.

This book launch was organized by Research Centre for Social Sciences (RCSS) as an academic discussion. Objective of this unique book launch is to make it the first step in reinitiating ‘śāstrīya pariṣād’ which was active in the faculty for about twenty years ago.

Dr. Sirinimal Lakdusinghe and Prof. Jagath Weerasinghe graced the event as chief guests. Prof. M.M. Gunatilake, Dean- Faculty of Social Sciences also graced the event as an honourable guest.
