In an impressive display of intellectual prowess, the students of the Department of Sociology at the University of Kelaniya have once again secured victory at the highly esteemed Inter-Department Phronesis Mind competition in 2022, marking their second consecutive triumph. This annual quiz competition, organized by the Department of Social Statistics, has become a battleground for the sharpest minds across departments, and the Sociology team, under the leadership of Mr. Anushka Madhushan, demonstrated their knowledge, teamwork, and dedication to clinch the championship
The winning team from the Department of Sociology comprised Mr. Anushka Madhushan, a third-year student pursuing a BA (Hons.) in Sociology, who led the team with exceptional acumen. Supporting him were equally outstanding teammates: Ms. D. P. K. Dissanayaka, Ms. W. M. M. Nethmini Wijekoon, Mr. G. S. R. Gurusinghe, and Ms. S. G. Dinuka, all dedicated third and second-year students pursuing their BA (Hons.) in Sociology.
