1. Participaed in the Field Research on Socio-Economic Factors of Veddas in Dambana. Which was conducted by the Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. 2007.

 

2. Participated as a Researcher in the research entitled Polotical Participation of Villagers in Social Development, (Based on Palpola Village, Sri Lanka), which was conducted by the Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. 2005.

 

3. Conducted a Survey (with Dept: of Sociology, UOK) on Lifestyle of Villagers nearest Sinharaja Forest. (Based on Kudawa Village, Veddagala), Sri Lanka. 2005.

 

4. Participated as a Team Leader in the Survey on Tsunami affected areas in Sri Lanka. December 2004, which was conducted by the university of Kelaniya and TAFREN, Sri Lanka.

 

5. Participated as a Researcher in the Survey on Kalagama, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, which was conducted by Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. June 2003.

 

6. Worked as a sociologist in the research entitled Domestic violence in Sri Lanka, which was conducted by Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya and the Ministry of Women's affairs of Sri Lanka. 2003.

 

7. Participated in the Survey on Terepahe village, Nuwara-Eliya, Sri Lanka. Which was conducted by the Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. 1997.

 

8. Conducted a research for my Master of Social Sciences Degree thesis titled The Social Impact of Sinhala Tele drama, in 1997 - 1999.

 

9. Participated as a researcher in the Survey on Socio Economic changes of Rodia People in Sri Lanka, which was conducted by the Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. 1994.

 

10. Participated in the Survey on Sub-culture of Estate workers in Sri Lanka.

(Based on Poonagala Estate, Bandarawela, Sri Lanka) which was conducted by the Dept: of Sociology, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. 1993.

 

11. Participated as a Researcher in the survey on Socio-economic factors of Dry Zone People of Sri Lanka, (Based on wanathawilluwa, Puttlam, Sri Lanka) .Which was conducted by the Dept: of Economics, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. 1-3 May 1993.

 

12. Worked as a Researcher in the survey on Power Consumption of Sri Lanka. (Based on Colombo and Gampaha Districts). Which was conducted by the Integrated Development Association, (IDEA) Hantana, Kandy, Sri Lanka. 1992.

 

13. Worked as a Field Investigator in the Survey on Drug Dependants of Sri Lanka, (Based on Colombo, Galle and Kandy Districts) which was conducted by the National Dangerous Drug Control Board, Sri Lanka. 1990-1991.
