Researcher of the project entitled ‘Management strategies for enhanced fisheries production in Sri Lanka and Australian lakes and reservoirs (ACIAR, Australia Project No. FIS/2001/030 Extension of FIS/1994/040). 2004
Worked as consultant to a research project entitled ‘Guidelines for the assessment and management of irrigation development impacts on Fisheries’. This project is conducted by the Department of Environmental Science and Technology and the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Imperial Collage, UK and International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Sri Lanka from February 31st to July 2002.
Worked as Researcher to a project entitled ‘Strategies for partitioning the productivity of Asian reservoirs and lakes between capture fisheries and aquaculture for social benefits and local markets without negative environmental impacts", funded by EU-Inco-Dc FISHSTRAT Project 1998-2001.
Worked as an economist for a multi-disciplinary survey project entitled ‘Research on the natural resources management in the coastal environments of Sri Lanka’ with special reference to socio-economic and environmental issues in Hanbanthota District from 1996 to 1999 (SAREC/CE/13/2).
