The Inauguration Ceremony of the 09th batch of Diploma in Disaster Management offered by the Department of Geography, University of Kelaniya was held on the 04^th June, 2022 at the Lecture Hall K1-113 / Online.

The event was held under the patronage of Prof. A.G. Amarasinghe, Head- Department of Geography. Present at the occasion were Prof. Lal Mervin Dharmasiri, and Senior Lecturer Mangala Jayarathne, Coordinator of the Diploma, Academic Staff Members of the Department and newly Enrolled Students.

Chief Guest was Prof. M.M. Gunathilake, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences.

Keynote Addressed by Mr. Sugath Dissanayake, Director of the Education and Public Awareness Division.
