A Sangagatha Dakshinawa jointly organized by the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya and the undergraduates who follow B.A. (Special) Degree in Sport and Recreation Management was held on the 28th of November 2018 at the premises of the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education.
The ceremony was held in order to mark the new appointment of Senior Lecturer Mr. Jayantha Kalansooriya. Eight monks participated in the ceremony which was held wishing the goodwill of the department.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Present at the occasion were Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Senior Lecturer Mr. Jayantha Kalansooriya, Head- Department of Sport Science and Physical Education, Visiting Prof. B.L.H. Perera including the academic staff members of the department and undergraduates who follow general and special degree courses.
