The Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the 5th Batch of the Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) 2023/2024, organized by the Department of Geography, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on 28th June 2025 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.

The event was graced by the presence of Professor W. M. Semasinghe, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, who attended as the Chief Guest of the occasion.

A total of 32 students were awarded diploma certificates during the ceremony. The event was further enriched by the participation of academic staff members of the Department of Geography, graduating students, and their family members, marking a memorable milestone in their academic journey.
