Course Aims:

Intended Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course, students will be able to gain following skills and competencies

  • Compare and contrast how computer networks are operating
  • Describe data communication and different types of media accessories used in networking
  • Networking techniques
  • Evaluate online systems and computer networks

Course Content: (Main topics, Sub topics)

Introduction to Networks, Classification of Networks, Network Topologies, Network Hardware, Communication Channels, Data Transport and Transmission, Network Standards (LAN, WAN, MAN).
