Department of Library and Information Science organize a Blood Donation programme as an annual event. This process, which was commenced in the year 2003 during the period of war in order to supply blood needed for disabled soldiers, is now being used to treat patients in Sri Lanka. This blood donation programme, which is being organized annually, was held for the 16th consecutive time in 2019.
