Course Aims:

Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to
  1. Design and develop a fundamental research synopsis
  2. Perceive a research problem
  3. Compose and define research objectives
  4. Analyze and discuss the data
  5. Apply application software package for library and information science
  6. Produce conclusions, suggestions and recommendations through a well furnished research report.

Course Content: (Main topics, Sub topics)

Component of a research proposal (synopsis): Introduction, background of the study, research problem, significance, objectives, hypothesis, definition of terms, review of literature, research methodology: research method, population and sample, data collection, kinds and sources of data, data analysis, limitations, organization of chapters; tentative budget and time table; Compilation of the research report.
