Annual Blood Donation Programme -2019
A Blood Donation Programme organized by the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 17th of December 2019 at the Indoor Stadium of the university.
This process which was commenced in the year 2003 during the period of war in order to supply blood needed for disabled soldiers, is now being used to treat patients in Sri Lanka. This blood donation programme which is being organized annually, was held for the 17th consecutive time.
Senior Lecturer Dr. Namali Suraweera, Department of Library and Information Science, its academic and non- academic staff members and undergraduates contributed to this.
The staff members of the National Blood Transfusion Centre also provided their full contribution to this programme.
