Token of Appreciation and Training of Trainer workshop by the Department of Library and Information Science
Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the University of Kelaniya, the inauguration ceremony of “Token of Appreciation and Training of Trainer” workshop was held on the 30th August 2019 at Pegasus Reef Hotel, Wattala, organized by the Department of Library and Information Science.
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding with the stakeholders of training institute and a distribution of token of appreciation for librarians was held as a part of the ceremony.
The event was held under the patronage of the Vice-President of University Grant Commission, Prof. P. S. M. Gunarathna and the Vice-Chancellor of University of Kelaniya, Prof. D. M. Semasinghe.
Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Senior lecturer Dr. Gamini Wijayarathna, Dean- Faculty of Computing and Technology, Senior Lecturer Dr. P.N.D. Jayasundara, Librarian & assistant librarians, non-academic staff members & students of the department of Library & Information Science also participated in the event.
