Career Counselling Session

On October 14th, 2022, Department of Library and Information Science conducted an awareness programme collaboration with Career guidance unit, University of Kelaniya. A session entitled Career Counselling. The purpose of the session was to provide you with the skills you need to see you through your life; to shape students’ future and change their outlook on life and their ability to succeed.  The 25 participants represented session with very actively. The welcome speech was delivered by Prof. W M M K Weerasinghe, Head of the Department, Library and Information Science. Resource persons were Mr. K A M V Viraj Abhayasinghe, Career Counsellor, Career Guidance unit, University of Kelaniya and Dr (Mrs) K R N Harshani, Senior Lecturer, Department of Library and Information Science. The overall feedback received for the session was favourable with requests for more frequent workshop and event of a similar future.
