Inauguration Ceremony of the Diploma in Library and Information Science – 2023
The inauguration ceremony of the Diploma in Library and Information Science offered by the Department of Library and Information Science was held on the 3rd of September 2023 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Kelaniya.
This ceremony was held with the objective of introducing the course and the academic staff to newly enrolled students.
The guest speech was delivered by Senior Lecturer Mr. Tharindu Weerasingha, Department of Human Resource Management, University of Kelaniya.
The event was graced by Professor. M. M. Gunathilake, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Senior Professor M. K. Weerasinghe, Head, Department of Library and Information Science, Senior Professor W. A. Weerasooriya, Academic Staff of the Department of Library and Information Science, and the students.
