Dr. Priyanwada Wanigasooriya, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, has received the South Asia LIS Research Fund Award from Emerald Publishing for her co-authored proposal titled Assessing the Impact of CATMELK: A Custom GPT-Based Cataloging Tool on Efficiency, Accuracy, and Resource Utilization in Sri Lankan Libraries.
