The Journal of Social Statistics (JSS) is an open access, double blind reviewed, national journal published by the economics department of the University of Kelaniya. In the year 2014 JSS published its first volume. Since then it publishes annually, concurrent with the National Research Conference on Applied Social Statistics.

 

The main purpose of the journal of is to publish the results of original work done by using existing or applied statistical techniques and the works done on theoretical aspects of statistics. Quantitative works done in any discipline (Social Science, Natural and Physical science etc.), fall within the scope of journal. Purely theoretical papers and theoretical developments which clearly demonstrate significant applied potential are also welcomed. The Journal aims for a balance of methodological innovation, thorough evaluation of existing techniques.
