Course Aims:

Intended Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course, students will be able to

  • analyze and evaluate different types of documents, document services in relation to user requirements
  • organize documentation services in libraries and information centers
  • prepare bibliographies and indexes.

Course Content: (Main topics, Sub topics)

Introduction to documentation, Active and passive documentation functions and services.  Documentation centers and databases: national, international, discipline basis. Bibliographies and indexes types and compilation.

 Students will have to complete the following assignments.

 Compilation of a bibliography or an index consists of not less than 150 entries.
