Hansika Sewwandi completed her BA (Hons) Degree in Public Relations and Media Management with a First-class Division in 2023. She was awarded the Gold Medal, “Swarna Mudrica” and Gold Medal "Shelton Gunarathne" at the General Convocation for the Best Student in the 2023 Public Relations and Media Management batch in the Department of Mass Communication, awarded by the Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Kelaniya. She won the “Shelton Gunarathne” Scholarship for two consecutive years for her highest GPA marks of BA (Hons) Degree in Public Relations and Media Management Examination in the academic year 2018/19 and 2019/20. She won the "Chinese Embassy Scholarship" in 2025. She is a freelance writer.
