Sudesh Abeynayaka is a Lecturer (Temporary) in Mass Communication at the University of Kelaniya. He won the “Shelton Gunarathne” Scholarship for the highest GPA marks of the BA (Hons) Degree in Mass Communication Examination in the academic year 2020/21. He is a short film director and a professional counsellor with a strong background in media studies, multimedia production, and social advocacy. With extensive experience in teaching, journalism, and digital content creation, Sudesh is passionate about exploring the intersections of Communication and media, philosophy, digital and social media, culture, Porn Studies and social Work. His research and creative projects address issues such as gender, digital literacy, and cultural hegemony, reflecting a commitment to fostering critical dialogue and transformative education.
