The Department of Mass Communication of the University of Kelaniya conducted a research workshop today to support Final Year students of the Mass Communication, Public Relations and Media Management Honours degree programmes in preparing their undergraduate thesis . The workshop, held at the Commerce and Management New Auditorium near the Art Gallery, ran from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and featured sessions on Research Discipline and Methodology by Dr. Manoj Jinadasa, Qualitative Research in Film and Television and Field Research by Dr. Aruna Lokuliyana, Literature Review and Research Writing by Dr. Achala Abeykoon, and Research Data Analysis by Dr. Mangala Keerthy De Pasqual. The programme aimed to strengthen studentsโ research competencies and enhance the quality of their final-year theses, and academic staff members of the department also participated in the workshop.
