A Shramadhana Campaign organized by the students of Public Relations and Media Management degree program of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya was held on the 5th of July at the Horton Plains. Under the supervision of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, around 100 students contributed in removing an invasive plant called Yulex which has spread in the Horton Plains.
The campaign was conducted by the Public Relations and Media Management Students' Association, under the guidance of Senior Lecturer Aruna Lokuliyana Head of the Department of Mass Communication and the degree coordinator Senior Lecturer Darshana Somarathna.
