A debate on "Whether Legal Censorship or Self Censorship is better for Mass Media" was held on Friday, October 7, 2022 between two teams of first year students of Mass Communication honors degree program. Senior Lecturer Wijayananda Rupasinghe, Senior Lecturer Samanthika Priyadarshani, Senior Lecturer Dhammika Bandara Herath, Senior Lecturer Mangala Keerthi Pasquale and Mr. Pushpa Madushan, an alumni member of the department were called in to sit on the panel of judges. The event was held at the Audio-Visual Studio of the Department.
