Workshop on 'Strategic Public Relations Planning and Campaigning' Organized by Public Relations and Media Management Students' Association

The Public Relations and Media Management Students' Association of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya, successfully organized a 'Strategic Public Relations Planning and Campaigning' workshop on March 25th at the Social Sciences Faculty Auditorium. This initiative was part of a broader workshop series aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of Public Relations and Media Management students, equipping them with industry-relevant skills for their future careers.

The workshop focused on strategic PR planning and campaign execution in collaboration with PR Wire, a leading public relations agency in Sri Lanka. Experts from PR Wire provided valuable insights into PR planning and campaign management, sharing real-world case studies and best practices to offer students a practical understanding of the industry. The expert panel from PR Wire included the following: Ms. Anjuu Bakshani, Associate Director-PR Wire; Mr. Supun Hettiarachchi, Director-Media Wire; Mr. Chamindu Jananath, Lead-Digital Wire; Ms. Sachintha Peries, PR Manager, Ms. Rishanya Suheinie, Senior PR Executive, Ms. Lakshani Perera, Senior PR Executive, Ms. Nipuni Perera, Manager-Talent & Culture were in the expert team from PR Wire.

Head of the Department, Senior Lecturer Wijayananda Rupasinghe, and academic staff members from the Department of Mass Communication also graced the event.
