Prof. Wimal Dissanayake’s personal book collection was donated to the library of the University of Kelaniya on the 25th of June 2019 at the Auditorium of the library.
The event was held under the patronage of Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor, Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor and Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Commander of Sri Lankan Navy. Present at the occasion were Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Senior Prof. Ariyarathna Athugala, Chairman- Arts Council, Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, Senior Lecturer Aruna Lokuliyana, Head- Department of Mass Communication, academic staff members of the Department of Mass Communication, Dr. C.C. Jayasundara, Librarian, Mr. W.M. Karunarathne, Registrar and undergraduates.
