The Department of Mass Communication at the University of Kelaniya organized a special guest lecture for the MA and MSSc postgraduate degree programs on 24th November at the Faculty of Social Sciences Auditorium.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Sundeep R. Muppidi, Professor of Digital Media and Journalism at the University of Hartford, USA, on the topic "Digital Culture, News, and Role of Journalism: Impact on Media Audiences." Professor Muppidi provided valuable insights into how digital media shapes journalism and influences audiences.
A printed Issue of Sanniwedakaya, "The Communicator," focusing on current trends in implementing the Right to Information in Sri Lanka, was published at Hotel Mirage, on July 28. The printed Sanniwedakaya issue was published under a grant by the Commonwealth Foundation and SDJF.
