The Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya hosted the film screening of the film, “Alborada” directed by Mr. Asoka Handagama, on 17th of October 2022. The screening happened at the Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya at 6.00 pm.
Senior Lecturer Wijayananda Rupasinghe (Head of the Mass Communication Department) along with other staff members, Senior Prof. Patric Rathnayaka (Director-university art council), Bimal Dushmantha (production designer of the film) with some other crew members, popular film and tele drama actor, Suraj Maapa, and many more distinguished guests were present for this film screening. It was a notable fact that the event was a huge success attending nearly a thousand five hundred spectators.
