2024 Luojia Global Summer School organized by Wuhan University was held from 23rd June to 26th July focusing the effective application of sustainable development goals. This international initiative brought together students from eight countries. Students from China, Sri Lanka, Laos, Fiji, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, United States of America and Ecuador came together and shared their own stories and struggles concerning SDG.
The course content was well planned with modern day SDG knowledge. The lecturers on different disciplines around the world shared their insight on mindful communication, storytelling and story selling and many more practical case studies. Field visits to conservation sites, urban greening factories and news agencies provided the students with balanced understanding on various aspects of the topic. And classroom discussions and presentations encouraged students to find solutions to common problems they face through international collaboration.
Cultural events planned by the university and students from different countries, created a platform for students to share and understand other cultures and to find their own identity. Cultural integration was a major focus in the course with many lectures focusing on better collaboration of government initiatives and cultural sensitive reporting.
Professor Ji Li from the Journalism and Communication Department of Wuhan University and Dr. Kalinga Senaviratne who was a major contributor in the program plan to set up a website for these students to continue reporting on their issues and measures taken for SDG in their countries. On 26th of July the program concluded successfully.
2024 ලුඕජියා ගෝලීය ගිම්හාන පාසල : විවිධත්වය තුළින් තිරසාර සංවර්ධනයකට...
චීනයේ වුහාන් විශ්ව විද්‍යාලය විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද 2024 ලුඕජියා ගෝලීය ගිම්හාන පාසලට සහභාගී වීමට ජන සන්නිවේදන අධ්‍යනාංශයේ ගෞරව තෙවන වසරේ උපාධි අපේක්ෂක බෙනුක නිම්හාන් සේනාධීර තේරී පත්වුණි. තිරසාර සංවර්ධන ඉලක්ක (SDG) ඵලදායී ලෙස යෙදීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරමින් මෙම ගිම්හාන පාසල ජුනි 23 සිට ජූලි 26 දක්වා පැවැත්විණි.
මේ සඳහා චීනය, ශ්‍රී ලංකාව, ලාඕසය, ෆීජි දූපත්, වියට්නාමය, උස්බෙකිස්තානය, ඇමරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදය සහ ඉක්වදෝරය වැනි රටවල් නියෝජනය කරමින් සිසුන් සහභාගී විය. එහිදී ඔවුන්ති තම රටවලට අදාලව තිරසාර සංවර්ධන ඉලක්ක සම්බන්ධයෙන් අත්දැකීම් හා ඔවුන් මුහුණ දෙන ගැටළු පිළිබඳ දැනුම බෙදා ගන්නා ලදී. නුතන තිරසාර සංවර්ධන ඉලක්ක ආවරණය වන ලෙස පාඨමාලා අන්තර්ගතය සැකසී තිබූ අතර ක්ෂේත්‍ර චාරිකා සහ පන්තිකාමර ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මගින් සිසුන්ගේ ඉගැනුම් ක්‍රියාවලිය නිර්මාණය කර තිබුණි. එමෙන්ම සංස්කෘතික උත්සව හා අවස්ථා ඔස්සේ අන්තර් සංස්කෘතික අවබෝධය පුළුල් කිරීමටද කටයුතු කර තිබුණි.
තවද වූහාන් සරසවියේ මාධ්‍යය හා සන්නිවේදනය අධ්‍යන අංශයේ මහාචාර්‍යය ජී ලී මෙන්ම වැඩසටහනේ ප්‍රධාන සම්පත් දායකයකු වූ ආචාර්‍යය කාලිංග සෙනවිරත්න මේ සිසුන්ට මින් ඉදිරියටත් ඔවුන්ගේ රටේ තිරසාර සංවර්ධනය උදෙසා ගන්නා ලද ක්‍රියාමාර්ග මෙන්ම මුහුණ දෙන අර්බුද පිළිබඳ වාර්තාකරණයට වෙබ් අඩවියක් ගොඩනැගීමට තීරණය කළ අතර මේ අන්තර්ජාතික මුහුව වඩාත් ශක්තිමත්ව අපක්ෂපාතී බිම් මට්ටමේ වාර්තාකරණයක් ගොඩනැගීම ඔවුන්ගේ අරමුණයි.
