The eighth research discussion session "I and My research" was successfully held on 14th November 2022 at the Department's audio-visual studio. The Communication  Research Unit organized the discussion (CRU), targeting the academic staff members of the Department of Mass Communication to identify and understand each other’s specialized research fields and discuss the significant findings. Further, to create a friendly, stress-free environment where the academic members can share their knowledge while having quality time with peers.
The day's presenter was senior lecturer Amali Nandasiri. She explained her major research fields which are Literature and Language, Sri Lankan Public Relations, Cultural and traditional Communication, Print Media and Broadcasting Media. Further she mentioned how her research interests evolved over a period of time. Further she emphasized the value of studying Public Relations through Asian perspectives.
All the academic staff members were present at the discussion.
The session was dismissed after a fruitful conversation and then having a nice cup of tea with the plan of gathering the following Monday for another compelling research discussion.

The seventh research discussion session "I and My research" was successfully held on 31st October 2022 at the Department's audio-visual studio. The Communication  Research Unit organized the discussion (CRU), targeting the academic staff members of the Department of Mass Communication to identify and understand each other’s specialized research fields and discuss the significant findings. Further, to create a friendly, stress-free environment where the academic members can share their knowledge while having quality time with peers.
The day's presenter was senior lecturer Mangala Pasqual. He explained his major research fields which are Traditional Communication, new media and he presented his PhD readings as well. Further he mentioned how his research interests evolved over a period of time.
All the academic staff members were present at the discussion.
The session was dismissed after a fruitful conversation and then having a nice cup of tea with the plan of gathering the following Monday for another compelling research discussion.
