මහාචාර්ය මාපා තිලකරත්න මහතා සේවයෙන් විශ්‍රාම ගැනීම නිමිති කොටගෙන මහැඳුරු මාපා තිලකරත්න අභිනන්දන උළෙල හා “තිලක ලකුණ” ශාස්ත්‍රීය කෘතිය එළි දැක්වීම 2020.09.15 වන දින සමාජීය විද්‍යා පීඨ ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේ පැවැත්විණ. මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා, උපකුලපති ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මහාචාර්ය නිලන්ති ද සිල්වා මහත්මිය, පශ්චාද් උපාධි අධ්‍යයන පීඨයේ පීඨාධිපති මහාචාර්ය ආරියරත්න ජයමහ මහතා, සමාජීය විද්‍යා පීඨයේ පීඨාධිපති මහාචාර්ය එම්. එම්. ගුණතිලක මහතා සහ අනෙකුත් පීඨවල පීඨාධිපති ඇතුළු විශාල පිරිසකගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් පැවැත්විණ.
A felicitation ceremony for Professor Mapa Thilakarathna, marking the nominal retirement from his service towards the Department of Mass Communication and launching ceremony of the Public Relations essay book in honor of Professor Mapa Thilakarathna, was held on the 15th of September 2020 at the Social Sciences Auditorium. Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Professor Ariyarathna Jayamaha, Dean, Faculty of Graduate studies, Professor M. M. Gunathilaka, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Senior Lecturer Sudath Senarath, Dean, Faculty of Humanities, graced the event. Academic and non-academic staff and students of the department also participated in this event.
