The Annual Field Visit - Tourism and Cultural Resource Management of the Department of Archaeology

A field visit related to Tourism industry was organized by the Department of Archaeology for undergraduates who are doing special degree in Tourism and Cultural Resource Management of University of Kelaniya on 05th and 6th January, 2020. The aim of this excursion to give practical experience and knowledge based on Adventure tourism, Sport tourism, Cultural tourism and Eco tourism. Little adams peak, Nine arch bridge, 98acrus Resort, flying Rawana adventure camp, UFO restaurant, Demodara railway station, Diyathalawa army golf ground, Adishom Bunglow- Haputhale and Belihuloya Tourist Zone were the places of the field visit at Ella, Sri Lanka. At the end, all the participants discussed negative and positive points of the visited palaces, how to promote and experienced activities of the destinations. As a remarkable events the undergraduates organized a Night Camp Fire at National Holiday Resort Banglow, Bandarawela. It was a successful and unforgettable movement for everyone.
