The inauguration ceremony for the 2021/2022 academic year first-year general students of Archaeology, Tourism and Cultural Resources Management and Anthropology was held on the 8th of September 2022, at the University premises. The academic staff of the Department of Archaeology participated in the event. In the first session, the students were addressed by the Senior Lecturer, Dr. Sriyani Hathurusinghe, (Head of the Department of Archaeology), and the Chair/Senior Professor, Prishanta Gunawardana. During the second session of the event, students were accompanied on the visit to the department and its museum by the staff members of the department.
