A workshop on History and Archaeology organized by the Department of Archaeology of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 05th of July 2019 at the Humbuluwa Central College, Alawwa. It was organized with the objective of celebrating the National Archaeology Day and 60th anniversary of the University of Kelaniya. Present at the occasion were Senior Prof. Anura Manatunga, Director- Centre for Heritage Studies, Senior Lecturer, Dr. Mangala Katugampola, Head- Department of Archaeology, Senior Lecturer Dr. Chandima Bogahawatta, Senior Lecturer Shriyani Hathurusinghe, Senior Lecturer Nilanthi Bandara, academic staff members and undergraduates of the department.
