Commemorating the World Tourism Day on 27th September, the Tourism and Cultural Resource Management degree program of the Department of Archaeology organized a Guest Speech on 28th September at the Board Room, Faculty of Social Sciences. Aligning with the World Tourism Day theme of this year 'Rethinking Tourism', the guest speech was conducted on the topic ‘A way forward of tourism in the economic crisis of Sri Lanka’. The Primary objective of this event was to enhance the awareness of the undergraduates regarding the current atmosphere of the tourism and hospitality industry in Sri Lanka amidst of the prevailing economic crisis. The Guest Speaker for the event was tourism veteran Mr.Upali Rathnayake, Director of Domestic Tourism and Community Relations in Sri Lanka Tourism.
