The final year undergraduates specializing in Tourism and Cultural Resource Management, Department of Archeology, University of Kelaniya are organizing the Webinar series “Coalesce” and a Competition in line with the UNWTO World Tourism Day Theme 2021 ‘Tourism for Inclusive Growth’.
“A Way Forward” is the final webinar under the series which will be focusing on the resilience of the tourism industry amidst the covid-19 pandemic, the future of heritage management, destination management and marketing, and further on the evaluation and fragmentation of global spiritual tourism. Guest speakers will be Senior Professor Anura Manatunga, Director General of Department of Archaeology, Sri Lanka, Professor Athula Gnanapala, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies, Professor in Tourism Management, Sabaragamuwa University, Sri Lanka, Dr. Vipula Wanigasekera, Senior Lecturer, Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia, and Mr. Upali Rathnayake, Director of Domestic Tourism & Community Relations & Former Director-General of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
