The certificate awarding ceremony of higher diploma in Public Relation, Diploma in Public and Media Relation and Diploma in Mass Communication, the inauguration ceremony of Higher Diploma in Public Relation offered by the Department of Mass Communication, faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 12^th August 2018 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Inspector General of Police, Mr. Pujith Jayasundara and Prof. A.H.M.H. Abayarathne – Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences graced the occasion as the Chief Guests. Dr.Harischandra Ghambeera, delivered his thoughtful keynote speech for the students emphasizing how mass media affects the personality.

The academic staff members of the Department of Mass Communication including Senior Lecturer Mr. Aruna Lokuliyana (HOD), certificated students and the newly enrolled students graced the event.
