A workshop on Make up and Prosthetic which was organized by the Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya was successfully held on 1st October 2018 from 9.00 a.m to 3.00 p.m at the department Audio Visual Studio.
Mr. Davy Jones was the resource person and he is an award winning freelance prosthetic and special effects make up artists based in North West, UK. He joined with us while he was here in SRI Lanka to work for British TV series called "Good Karma Hospital" and it was such a memorable workshop for all the undergraduates and lecturers who participated the event.

A syllabus review workshop was successfully held by department of Mass Communication on 8th and 9th August 2018 at Saprin Beach Hotel Negambo. The syllabuses of Mass Communication M.A. were reviewed by a panel of experts in the field of Mass Communication
The academic staff members of the Department of Mass Communication including Senior Lecturer Mr. Aruna Lokuliyana (HOD), Emeritus Prof. Sunanda Mahendra, Emeritus Prof. Chandrasiri Rajapaksha, Senior Prof. Ariyaratha Athugala, Prof. Rohana Luxman Piyadasa and Prof. Mapa Thilakarathna participated the event.
