Learning outcomes:

At the end of the unit student should be able to:

Analyze various theories connected with the study of Media literacy and its application to the study of Mass Communication. The student will have a chance to understand the primary conceptual meaning of literacy, and the areas of media literacy.

Course content

Introduction to media literacy ,Meaning of the  term literacy, application of media literacy, media literacy games , audience-media interaction, application of literacy in other subject  areas. The application of literacy with special reference to media studies.
