Learning outcomes:

At the end of the unit student should be able to:

Apply various theories connected with the study of Radio media and its application to the study of Radio media studies. The student will be in a position to understand aspects of broadcasting its evolution, trends and concepts.

Course content

Nature of sound medium, Role of broadcasting,

Radio Journalism, Radio Industry, Sri Lankan Radio and Society. Selected world radio stations, Trends of Radio, Role of Communicator, formats of Radio programming, and categories of radio.
